Tutorial 1.3: Grasshopper Vector/Planes/Transform
Before we start, let's install a Grasshopper plugin called Bifocals. Follow the steps here: Grasshopper Plugin Installation
Most commands (geometries or operations) in Rhino have the same or similar components in Grasshopper, such as point, polyline, surface, move, scale, etc. However, Grasshopper has a few secret ingredients for mastering parametric design that you won't encounter in Rhino's modeling environment, and two of the most important are vectors and planes.
In today's tutorials, you don't need to connect the components yourself. All Rhino and Grasshopper files are provided. Work through the Grasshopper files alongside the tutorial.
When looking at GH files you downloaded, practice identifying where each component belongs. Press Ctrl + Alt + Left Click and hover on any component. A blue “i” icon appears; clicking the component will highlight the component tab and its location.
All Files are needed:

Part B. Planes

The exercise challenges you to apply the principles of vectors, planes, and transformation logic to the arch form developed in Exercise 2.
